Last Day of Nursing School- EVER

Look at my wonderful classmates! We did it! This was taken on the morning of our May graduation but we finally received a photo on our LAST day of class.

Hello world! I just completed my nursing program at the University of Portland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am still in complete shock. At times, I never thought it would come, but of course it did. :) I had my comprehensive ATI exam in which I had to score a minimum of 75% to pass. This equated to a 95% pass score on the NCLEX. I pulled out an 80% which told me I have a 98% chance of pass the NCLEX first go.....thank goodness.

I followed my graduation with an ACLS class because that will definitely help with job hiring. Phew! That was a long couple days. The world is now at my fingertips but so is the debt crisis in America (which has me wanting to leave the country in search of a more functional government...good lord). I know this is not a solution but it sure looks nice right now! Once I get some experience in nursing, I am outta here...to places that ACTUALLY have jobs! I am so excited at all the opportunities I am unsure of how its supposed to go....how do I get this whole "life" thing started? There is no handbook so I am going to make the best decisions I can, do as much fun stuff as I can, and soak it up.

Today, I signed up for my NCLEX as I finally got permission to test from the OSBN. :D Im taking it on August 20th so send any spare good ju ju you got my way please!!!

Now off to bed...where I will dream of fun, exciting things like kiteboarding and paddling in Chile :)
